As your newly elected Mayor I want to thank everyone for their votes of confidence.  I am coming into this position with no agenda except working for Kingfisher's continued quality growth. I’m looking forward to working with our current slate of Commissioners, whose conservative fiscal guidance and aggressive promotion of our City has positioned us for amazing opportunities for positive growth and development

I intend to continue and help expand specific programs and goals, including economic growth, beautification, a semi-annual citywide clean-up program and upgrading our infrastructure including streets and roads, electric service, quality and quantity water supply, maintenance of water towers and replacing collapsed sewer lines.

The economic challenges are great. There are boards in place working daily on flood control and to modernize our airport. Progress is being made on both. We will know by the end of May how much funding will be available for flood control. This is a long process but the journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step. The first step has been taken as we work on grants and other available funding for these important projects.
